AI Governance in Public Procurement Workshop (Netherlands focused)
Date: 11 December 2025 | Location: Utrecht
We are hosting a workshop in collaboration with VNG (Vereniging van Nederlandse Gemeenten), together with colleagues at the University of Cambridge and the Research Center Trustworthy Data Science & Security.
The workshop aims at consolidating best practices around AI procurement that actively protects public interests. Together with Dutch municipalities, we will explore whether and under which circumstances our recent research results / recommendations on promising procurement practices reflect and are applicable to the realities of public sector procurement. The goal is to tailor best practice guidance to the actual needs of public sector practitioners, ensuring that the public sector is better supported in procuring AI systems in line with public interests.
The session is open for professionals involved in public procurement of AI or IT systems more general (e.g. policy advisors, procurement officers, innovation or digitisation specialists, legal experts, project leaders, etc.)
Sign-up here (ONLY open to Dutch municipalities)
